- Teaching PhilosophyI teach because I want to share my passion for music with as many people as possible. My love for working with people can also be expressed through music making. It is this profound communication that inspires me to do as much as I can in my profession. Each and every individual has the right to discover music. I am incredibly grateful for every time that I have the opportunity to help each person’s inner creativity grow. My teaching allows students to be engaged and to think actively. I like to ask them questions and I encourage them to come up with new and creative ideas. This also helps me know what the student is thinking so that we can work together as a team. Students should be able to reach for their own goals, and with my guidance, they have the opportunity to achieve them.

OLEA Ensemble

Chamber ensemble OLEA presents a program celebrating the rich history of American folk music featuring compositions by Florence Price, Brian Raphael Nabors, and Libby Larsen. From the Grand Canyon to the streets of New York City, music on this program takes inspiration from jazz, Appalachian fiddle, ragtime, and more! Audiences will have the opportunity to get up, dance, and stomp along to music from across the United States.

The program will last approximately 90 minutes. There is a $15 suggested donation. Masks are required at the venue.
