VexFest

June 21, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm

In celebration of Make Music Chicago and Summer Solstice, we present VEXFEST.

This is a marathon interactive performance and reading of music / writing by composers Erik Satie, John Cage, and Morton Feldman. In addition to our musicians who will be coming in and out of the space to perform works by these composers–often simultaneously–, passersby will be encouraged to join in, either by playing with the musicians or reading from a variety of texts aloud in the space. Performances throughout the entire event will be organized by chance-determined time slots. The event will also feature a continuous performance of Erik Satie’s Vexations.
